Nice update to the Thales Simulator Library

Nickntg has announced the release of v0.9 of his Thales Simulator Library. 

When I'd originally made note of Nick's facility and expressed enthusiasm for it, I said it would be great if - in the future - it would include "support for CI/CJ & G0/G1 – Single DES DUKPT to Interchange Key Translation & Triple DES DUKPT to Interchange Key Translation respectively.

He's now got the 'CI' covered.  Here's the full list of the host commands he's added in v0.9:

  • BI - Generate a BDK
  • CI - Translate PIN from DUKPT to ZPK
  • CK - Verify a DUKPT PIN using the VISA method
  • CM - Verify a DUKPT PIN using the IBM method
  • DA - Verify a terminal PIN using the IBM method
  • DE - Generate an IBM offset
  • EA - Verify an interchange PIN using the IBM method

Also, for those of you looking to 'bridge the gap' before committing to your Thales HSM purchase, remember take a look at Iain McRobie's (of Encryption Key Management Ltd.) RemoteHSM offer.
